Unexpected Faith
People aren't always what we expect are they? Life, culture, family, society, finances, physical abilities, all of these things put limitations on people and it can be very hard to break out of that. When the Israelites come out of the wilderness and have to cross the Jordan, there are many things that they wrestled with. As they spied out the Promised Land preparing to enter it, they went into Jericho and were providentially lead to Rahab. She was not at all what they were expecting! She became an example of faith to them, to Joshua and to the people of Israel, and to all of us who would live a life of simple, pure, risk-taking faith.
