Failure to Launch
There have been some pretty funny movies made about men who refuse to grow up. But its not funny when it happens in real life, when men remain boys, women remain girls, when people don't pursue healthy growth and maturity. As a church, we are reviewing who we are and what we're doing. What is the biblical purpose and point of the church? What are we supposed to be doing? What is our goal? So many of us in evangelicalism have been told its all about evangelism or growing a church or outreach or learning more about God or being doctrinally pure. It can be confusing and frustrating. As we look at Ephesians, Paul lays out one of the great goals for the Church, but it requires hard work, discipline and perseverance.
