Built to Last
Zechariah was written around 519 BC to the 50,000 Israelites who returned from captivity to rebuild the temple. It was written to encourage the completion of the rebuilding of the temple by revealing to the people God’s plans for the future judgment of the world powers and the deliverance of Israel. Whereas Haggai called these people to be strong and to work, Zechariah revealed the secret of their strength.
