Become a Christ Follower
The world has all kinds of awards and accolades to throw at us. Our children seem to get awards for everything from learning to tie their shoes to showing up at cheer practice to enjoying their hobbies to the fullest. Why do we give awards? Generally, its to honor an achievement, to recognize someone's contributions, and/or to inspire others to great acts. As Christ followers, I wonder- what will motive and inspire us? What honor or award could we be given that would spur us on to greatness in our walks with Christ and others? Christ calls us to follow him any and everywhere and addresses how God will honor us as we do that. Many of us have and will struggle with this because God's idea of honor doesn't match up to our own or because we don't value God's honor rightly.
