Radically Abiding in Christ Together
The American Dream is a concept that most people are familiar with, even if they're not from America. The ideas of upward mobility, owning your own home, 2.5 kids and a dog is enticing and seems to be the total summary of what we should all be aiming at in life. The Gospel call of Jesus speaks to even this! The good news of Jesus is that God is great and worthy of radical living from me, and that I'm free from succeeding on my own and free to live a wildly productive life in Christ. As Christ tell us to abide in him we find that it impacts our definition of success and the very foundations of what has become the "American Dream." By living a fulfilling relationship with Christ, we find ourselves enabled to enjoy a kind of success that we had never dreamed of- eternal, relational and God-glorifying.
