Freed by the Cross
The Gospel is under attack from all sides. Its true in many ways today and it was part of Paul’s struggle 2000 years ago. The Gospel is the greatest story, the greatest good news that anyone could ever be given. But there’s something in us that can’t believe it, doesn’t want to believe it, needs to add to it or take away from it. There are many things that can influence us to leave the cross. But that’s part of the great news of the Gospel- there’s nothing else for us to hold on to except the cross. We are free, Jesus has set us free for freedom’s sake, and God has done this all through the cross! We must hold on to it and give it away- for free!
