What an incredible blessing it is when people treat us with love regardless of who we are, what we have, or what we can do for them. So much of how the world treats us is based on comparative preference and judgementalism. We often weigh the value of relationships and people based on temporary and unimportant factors and in the process hurt people and feed the worst parts of their egos. What if the church were to adopt a radically different view of love? The world is looking for some place and some people who will love them at all times and through all things. If they come into our churches will they experience God’s love through us in a way that honors all, loves all, and see all through the eyes of Jesus? Faith in Jesus means we will love those around us the way God has loved us.
