Julie was
born in Houston, Texas but traveled quite a bit since her father was in the Army. She grew up in the Baptist church but had many questions that went unanswered until she took a leap of faith at a Youth For Christ convention in Tennessee during her senior year in high school. She was baptized a few years later in a Baptist church and met her future husband Curtis shortly thereafter. They have been happily married for more than 30 years and have 3 beautiful children, 1 beginning graduate school, 1 in college and 1 in high school. Julie earned her Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and worked in the field for a few years but changed careers when raising her children. She earned her Masters degree in Educational Technology Leadership in 2012. She is currently a K-8 ELA teacher at Lamar CISD at the Alternative Learning Center. Julie enjoys the challenge of working with at-risk students but thrives off of serving as the Preschool Coordinator at TSF. Julie began her love for children at a young age by babysitting and tutoring. She is in her second year as Preschool Coordinator and is putting her educational background to work for the glory of God!
